5 Ways To Enjoy Valentine’s Day As A Single Lady

I’m spending my Valentine’s Day weekend enjoying the company of myself and my friends! Being single isn’t as bad as some may make it seem and single women don’t have to dread valentine’s day when it comes around. There’s plenty of things you can do besides wallowing in the fact that you’re single. Singleness should be celebrated anyways, but I’ll leave that conversation for my actual valentine’s day post.

Take Yourself On A Date

I personally love taking myself on solo dates, but I understand that not all women are comfortable doing this. Try to do something that doesn’t seem weird to do alone like going to the gun range or treating yourself to the spa. Dating yourself is important as a single woman. If you know how to treat yourself then you know how to tell others how you like to be treated. For clarification, here I am speaking solely on materialistic and tangible treats (experiences, gifts, etc.) and not being treated a specific way emotionally or mentally. Although, the same rules apply for that also!!

Staycation or Mini-cation

It always feels good to get out of the house and have a change of pace by staying at a hotel in your city. If you’ve never tried being a tourist in your own city you should definitely try it and I highly encourage you to add a staycation to the mix! If you don’t want to stay in your city travel to a city nearby and have a mini-cation!

Dinner with Friends

Having brunch or dinner with friends is a great way to celebrate Valentine’s Day, the love you have for them, and the love they have for you! You all can even include fun table games that include a pool of gifts for people to choose from when they win, do a gift exchange, or play a toned-down version of white elephant. As a single woman, it’s important to surround yourself with love in all forms – especially the love that comes from your friends!

Cook/Make A New Meal

Tap into a new recipe online and make something fun and exciting, but also equally delicious! You can do the most and prepare a full dinner or just order dinner and try to make your own dessert! If cooking isn’t your thing, then I don’t recommend this unless you’re open to it. However, I do recommend treating yourself to a cooking class which is generally really fun!

Pamper Yourself

Celebrating alone doesn’t have to be fancy. You can stay at home and pamper yourself with a face mask, hair mask, movie, and dinner. Do your own thing and just enjoy being. You can even get fancy and craft your own cocktail or keep it simple and just grab a bottle of wine.
