Questions I Ask Myself At The End of Each Week

Here I’m sharing 7-ish questions I ask myself at the end of each week. The ‘ish’ includes probing questions you should ask yourself based on the initial question. You can choose to use all or some of them – add to them, make them your own. Basically, take what you need. Personally, I believe reflecting on things is how we intentionally become better over time. Time moves and we can quickly get caught up on what’s in front of us as opposed to reflecting on what has transpired over time and how those things improved or derailed our tasks, projects, plans, and goals.

Reflecting at the end of your week shouldn’t take longer than 10 minutes as you continue to do it over time. You can either choose to do it on Friday before you finish your workday, on Saturday before you get your day started, or incorporate it into a part of your Sunday routine before setting your intentions for the week to come.

The 7-ish Questions:

What were my wins this week? How can I build on the momentum?

Which day was my best? Why was it my best day?

Did I achieve any goals or reach any milestones? Small or big.

What did I dislike most about my week? How can I prevent this from happening next week?

What were the biggest time wasters? What will I do next week to not waste time doing these things?

What did I do that I didn’t already plan to do?

What did I not get done this week that I also did not get done this week? Can I afford to put it off another week? What justifiable reason do I have to continue putting this task off?
